Twilight Hope
Â
Troy & Chelsea Drake are the leaders of Twilight Hope ministries
"Bringing the hope and love of Jesus to the elderly through developing relationships with them and sharing the Good News of Jesus."
Twilight Hope is a ministry to the elderly in facilities in our community or at home. Team members usually meet once a week with residents in one or a combination of the following ministry formats:
Church services: The team meets with the elderly to worship, pray, and share the Word.
Discussion groups: Residents are encouraged to participate in an informal topical discussion, prayer, and fellowship.
One-On-One Visitation: Personal visits with residents that may involve prayer, reading, conversation, and other creative interactions.
Â
Members also meet once a month to be:
Equipped: Members are equipped as their ministry needs, as well as personal needs, are faithfully prayed over.
Encouraged: Fellowship is the support structure where members, with grateful hearts, share ministry testimonies and encourage one another.
Educated: Monthly training sessions educate the team on how to deal more effectively with the elderly and some of the obstacles they might encounter. New members can begin their ministry through our "Shadow Program," where they work with current teams who will assist them in developing their new team.
Retreats are planned to provide the team training, restoration, and fellowship.
"For You are my hope, O Lord God; You are my trust from my youth." Psalm 71:5
