Children's Ministry - Special Events
Resurrection Celebration
Kingdom of God Children’s Ministry will organize an exciting and biblically based day of fun, food, and music for all children ages 2 years to 2nd grade. CM will plan a creative way to share the story of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. CM will also have a salvation call and prayer during this event. Parents can leave their children and attend the Easter service.
Summer Picnic
Calvary Chapel Church picnic will always have a carnival and an ever-changing variety of children’s entertainment. This is a family event, so we want parents to join in the fun with their children. We do not provide child care for this event so parents must accompany their children. The picnic usually includes a river baptism, so if your child wishes to do this, please let the Director of Children’s Ministry know in advance. We will send you literature or meet with you to pray and answer any questions.
Harvest Festival
Calvary Chapel and Kingdom of God Children’s Ministry hold this event on October 31st by design. It is a theme-oriented family event with a very festive mood and environment. It is designed for children 2 years through 6th grade and consists of candy, prizes, and games that challenge the older kids and amuse younger ones. CM will have special guests each year at the event for the children, as well as a story production sometime during the evening. We will have door prizes, food, and music. We do not provide child care, so we ask that parents stay with their children during this event.
Christmas Events
Kingdom of God Children’s Ministry will perform a Christmas play and music event about the birth of Jesus Christ prior to Christmas. It may be performed for the congregation or for other children in CM buildings. CM will have a birthday party for Jesus in the classrooms that will include food and special storytelling. We will decorate and make this the awesome event that it is. CM will have a call to salvation and prayer during one of these events. Parents may leave children in their classes for these activities. We may ask for some parental help in implementing these events.
