About Keepers: Keepers of the Home is a group where we hope to come alongside each other and share the testimonies of the great and mighty things God has done in our lives and families. We're told in Acts 1:8 to be witnesses of him and to tell of the awesome things he has done in our lives. This is my hope and goal when we meet together each month. That we would share testimonies of what God is doing in our lives and that we would seek to encourage and spur one another on to good deeds in Christ. Hebrews 10:24 Also that we would love one another. Eph. 4:1-3
Who’s invited: All ladies! We have many ladies from Calvary Chapel Boise, but also some women attend from the surrounding churches as well. In addition we have single women, married women, women who have children and those who do not, grandmas, home schooling and non-home schooling mothers. All women are welcome!
What we talk about: Topics relating to our own Christian character, such as establishing a daily time to pray and be in God’s Word, handling adversity, yielding rights, how to grow in maturity in Christ, loving God and others. We also talk about issues relating to marriage, how to affirm our husbands, what respect means to our husbands, and how to continue to fan the flame in our marriage. We talk about issues relating to our children, how to win our children’s hearts, getting to the root of the problem, praising our children’s character over performance, and teaching them to live for a purpose higher than themselves. We also talk about issues that relate to home and life organization, meal planning and cooking.
About Lori: I have been so very blessed to be married to my sweet honey for the past 26 years and the Lord has blessed us with 8 precious children, six of whom are bi-racial and adopted. Mark and I have certainly made many mistakes and failed many times, but God has been so very faithful! We rejoice in being able to share what He has done in our lives and family and how very thankful we are for his continued redeeming work in our lives! Our sanctification is a life long pursuit. We have not "arrived" by any means, but we are glad to share what the Lord has shown us and what we've gleaned from having walked with him. We hope that you'll join us. We look forward to meeting you and to getting to know you and your family!
