What is Marriage Discipleship?

It is an opportunity to walk one-on-one with another couple who has a heart to see your relationship with God transform your marriage relationship through His Word.  Jesus said, I have come that you might have Life abundant.

Who is it for?

Marriage Discipleship is for those who feel they would like another couple to encourage them in this season of their marriage.  Sometimes we are overwhelmed and struggling and sometimes we just need another couple to bounce things off of.  We need someone who will “hear us” and direct (nudge) us to the scriptures for God’s direction.  There are times when we just have difficulty recognizing God’s voice.   We don’t have any magic bullets, but we can help you find God’s way.

The Goal:

To help other believers to grow in their relationship with Christ and with their spouse such that their marriage reflects God’s glory.  God has a plan for each marriage to be strengthened so as to impact the world around them. 

Why do we provide marriage discipleship?

Every marriage faces challenges and different seasons of life.  These are opportunities to grow in marital intamacy as God intended and to mold us into the image of His beloved Son, Romans 8:28-30.

How do you get started?

Fill out a Marital Discipleship Request Form and return it to the church office.  Forms are also available at the reception desk.  Or call the church office for an appointment.

Does it have to be a crisis?

No.  Many times we just need some encouragement to be assured that we are on the right tract to grow through the circumstances of our life journey.  God’s desire is to strengthen us to stand firm in His word as we walk the road to eternity.
