Chapel Missions India runs seven Homes of Hope orphanages in India serving approximately 460 children. This year we’d like to treat them to a ministry camp – Jesus style, full of fun, games, worship, biblical teaching, mentoring, crafts, and more.
Since 2007 we began taking in more and more children who are either infected with HIV or come from families whose parents are infected. With this new focus in our children’s ministry comes an urgency to introduce them to Jesus and His love. Most all of the HIV/AIDS families we minister to are from a Hindu or Muslim background. Time is of the essence! Life expectancy is only 14 years for a child diagnosed with HIV in India. Also, many children have already lost one or both parents. We want them to know of the Father’s love and their new family in the Body of Christ.
Our homes are many children’s only family. As in any family, there are children who have not yet decided to follow Jesus. Pastor Guna has asked for our help. His desire is for us to come along side our child care workers to help point the children to Jesus. You know how it is…you teach your children about Christ, yet when someone comes into their life that they look up to, and the message is so easily received. Some plant, some water, some reap.
Please prayerfully consider being a part of this “watering” ministry to our Home of Hope children. We are praying for a great harvest.
