“And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer, and while they are yet speaking I will hear.” Isaiah 65:24

The following incident took place in the mid-1800s during a great revival. “A young man in New York was deeply concerned for the salvation of his father in Massachusetts. He left the Fulton Street prayer meeting and sailed north on a Long Island Sound steamer. He spent nearly all the night in his stateroom wrestling in prayer for his father. On reaching home the next evening he took down the Bible and said, ‘Father, let us read a chapter in the Bible and pray!’ ‘Certainly,’ said the father, ‘you read.’ After reading, his father led off in prayer, pouring forth the most when did God gave you a heart to pray?’ The father responded, ‘I began last night, I was awakened in the night, and cried to God for mercy, and He had mercy upon me.’”

How many souls are there who may be reached and saved through prayer? We can we touch men by way of the throne of God when we cannot touch them in any other way. Are you praying for some unsaved relative or friend? Don’t give up.
