“Your Father knows the things you have need of, before you ask Him.” Matthew 6:8.

Lord, I don’t really know what I ought to ask of You; only you know what we need. You love me better than I know how to love myself. O Father! Give to Your child that which I, myself don’t know how to ask fork.  I dare not ask either for crosses or consolations. I simply present myself before You and open my heart to You.  Behold my needs, which I don’t see myself, and do according to Your tender mercy, smite or heal; suppress me, or raise me up. I adore all Your purposes without knowing how they work together for my good. I am silent; I offer myself in sacrifice; I yield myself to You; I would have no other desire than to accomplish Your will.  Teach me to pray; pray Yourself in me.

Yes, let Him choose your way, your blessings, your sorrows, your time.  He knows what is best for you and me. His infinite wisdom cooperating with His infinite love will keep Him from sending anything but the very blessing we most need when we leave Him to choose.
