This weekend Cyrus McCrory experienced a seizure and was taken to the hospital by his wife, Jonie.
At the hospital, the doctors found a low grade (small, slowly growing) tumor in Cyrus's brain. After meeting with a neurosurgeon this morning, Cyrus has been scheduled for surgery on Wednesday, 5/25, beginning at 3 pm at St. Alphonsus. He will be awake during the surgery so the doctors can safely remove as much of the tumor as possible without affecting his speech.
The McCrorys are requesting that any who are able fast and pray along with them on Tuesday. They will also have a meeting at their house on Tuesday from 6 to 7 pm to pray over Cyrus and petition the Lord for complete healing.
Jonie expressed gratitude for the support they've received so far.

I'm sorry for the lack of updates on this page. Cyrus has made another video, but the software that we were using to convert it failed...here it is now.
Jonie's Facebook Updates
Jonie has been regularly updating her Facebook page throughout the process. She has been experiencing the peace of God as they have spent time researching and waiting for replies as to how they should move forward. The spoke with Stanford and Lorna LInda University for treatment options.
I wanted to post these praise reports in Jonie's own words:

Surgery Update: Surgery is complete.Cyrus is fine...speach is in tact, and the Dr. got about 75% of the tumor out. No seizures during the surgery. He is in recovery right now and will be settling into ICU in an hour or so. We would LOVE your company at the hospital today and the in the days to follow. Hopefully Cyrus will be taking visitors tomorrow.

Last night was a tough night for Cy...he is in extreme pain, quite a bit more than last surgery. Lots of pain in his neck and head...running a fever but is on antibiotics, struggling with nausea, not sleeping well. PLEASE PRAY FOR HIM...for comfort and a good report from the Dr. today.

Since Cyrus is not feeling as well as he did last time...we're asking visitors to call before coming. This is hard, because we LOVE your ...

Update on Cyrus. This was filmed on tuesday, june 22, 2010, one day prior to the second operation to remove the brain tumor.
Dearest Brothers & Sisters,
We've wanted to send out our thanks to you each and every one of you individually...but with all that is happening, we thought we better do it this way.
Your hearts to serve us over the past few weeks has overwhelmed us to tears so many times. We see and feel the Lords arms around us through each of you. How can we ever express the proper thanks our hearts feel for all you've done for us in this very trying season.
Your words of encouragement, prayers, emails, text messages, dinners, financial offerings, visits, and so much more have blessed us beyond what words can express.
As we've been served by you all, we have been filled with a deep, deep desire to come alongside others in the same ways you have come alongside of us. We are most undeserving of all the love that has been poured out upon us, but we humbly accept your support, giving glory to our Father who richly supplies all our needs.
The Lord has done some amazing things since this ordeal started. He is being glorified ...
